I started my adventure with North West Academy as a client, as I liked both the atmosphere of the school and the work carried out by a highly professional team, I decided to move to Derry and to become a part of the team. Prior to this I had a long career in healthcare working as a nurse educator in large teaching hospitals in England and in the Middle East, before retraining as an English teacher. I was delighted when I had the opportunity to join the team permanently in 2026. I love the variety my new role brings and working with such a friendly and professional team.

At the North West Academy, we recruit year-round for our Freelance Teacher Register. We require a minimum of a Trinity CertTESOL or equivalent from all our applicants, and experience is preferred but not essential.
